At The Walnut Place we take great pride in milling our own wood and drying it slowly in a low-temperature wood fired kiln. We specialize in Claro Walnut Wood (California Black Walnut) and Paradox Walnut Wood (Bastogne Walnut), and carry limited quantities of other wood for sale such as Camphor, Sycamore (London Plain), and Oak. Our wood is milled into 4-quarter and 8-quarter sawn boards. The 4/4 material is cut at 1" thick and the 8/4 material is cut at 2 - 5/16" thick to give clients the dimensions they need for projects. We do our best to keep boards together in matched sets of sequentially cut boards, giving clients the opportunity to complete a project entirely from lumber out of one tree, ensuring color and grain continuity.
