Welcome! My name is Jennifer Chavez- I am the owner/operator of JC’s Handmade LLC. My interest in tools and creating began when I was a kid. My father worked construction and I was always intrigued by tools and smells. He could take a chunk of wood and turn it into something beautiful. I weaseled my way into the shop. I watched, helped where I could, and learned all I could. He may have gotten upset a couple times… I wasn’t especially good about putting the tools back when I was done “fixing” whatever I could find. I grew up surrounded by people who worked with their hands, and I am so very thankful for that. The lifelong respect I have for trades and woodworking shows in every unique piece I make.
