I carve columns ( spiral post), newels, corbels, mantels, bench boards, awnings, sunburst, rosettes, shelf brackets, bookends and other elements. They are used on porches, ramadas, decks, pergolas gazebos, indoor openings, windows and have many more uses and structural applications. Although they could be structural they are not. Being once they are carved, the structural strength is reduced and should be oversized for your application .Please contact your architect or contractor to see if they are right for you.
