Located in the heart of Lancaster County's PA Dutch Countryside, Shirk's Woodbending specializes in the manufacturing of horse drawn carriage and cart components (shafts, single trees, wooden fenders, wooden wheel rim (felloes), & wooden spokes). They also provide custom reproduction rims and spokes for antique cars, wagons, cannons, & any other specialty wooden wheels. With almost 40 years of skilled handcrafted experience, Shirk's also performs all varieties of solid woodbending...current and past projects include restored furniture pieces, reproduction piece work for all types of bent wood, plow handles, & more. In addition to woodbending, Shirk's operates a copy lathe that copies patterns of tomahawk handles, Queen Anne legs, etc.
